Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. An identifier for your account (such as a username or a login identity provided through our authentication provider), and optionally a profile photo or linked social handle if you choose to add them.
• Wallet information. The public blockchain addresses associated with your in-app wallet. Blockchain addresses and the transactions they make are public by design on the relevant networks.
• Usage and device information. App interactions, pages viewed, approximate region derived from IP, device type, operating system and app version, collected to operate, secure and improve the Service.
• Communications. Messages you send us (for example by email) and content you publish in community features.
• Push notification token. If you enable notifications on the mobile app, a device push token issued by the operating system, used only to deliver the alerts you turned on. You can revoke it at any time in your device settings.
• Photos you choose. If you set a profile picture, the mobile app asks permission to open your photo library. We only receive the single image you pick. We do not read, scan or upload anything else from your library.
• Referral and invite data. Your referral code, the code you joined with, and which accounts you referred, used to run the referral programme and calculate what it pays.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

• Private keys. The Service is self-custodial. Your wallet keys are generated and secured through embedded-wallet infrastructure under your control. We never see, store or transmit your private keys or recovery material in readable form.
• Payment card or bank data. We do not process fiat payments. If you use a third-party on/off-ramp, your data is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy.
• Government ID. We do not require identity documents to use the app.

3. Your Profile and Trading Activity Are Public

This is the most important thing to understand before you trade with APENOW. The Service includes social features, and by design they make part of your activity visible to anyone else using the Service, without you doing anything to publish it:

• Your username, profile picture, biography and linked social handle.
• Your open and closed positions, including which tokens you hold, the amounts, your average entry, and your profit or loss on each one.
• Aggregate trading statistics such as your number of trades, your average holding time, and your overall profit or loss, which is also used to rank you on public leaderboards.
• Who you follow and who follows you.
• Any calls, comments or other content you post.

Blockchain activity is public by nature on the underlying networks in any case, but the Service presents it in a way that links it to your profile. If you do not want your trading to be visible to other users, do not use the Service.

4. How We Use Information

• To provide the Service: authentication, wallet display, order management, market data, community features.
• To secure the Service: fraud and abuse prevention, rate limiting, diagnostics and debugging.
• To improve the Service: aggregate analytics about feature usage and performance.
• To comply with law: responding to lawful requests and enforcing our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party behavioral advertising.

5. Sharing of Information

We share information only with service providers that are necessary to run the Service, under their own privacy commitments:

• Wallet and authentication infrastructure (Privy) to create and secure your self-custody wallet.
• Blockchain infrastructure (RPC nodes, routing/aggregation and bridging protocols) to broadcast the transactions you sign. Anything written to a blockchain is public and permanent.
• Market-data providers (CoinGecko, DexScreener) to display prices, charts and token information.
• Mobile app delivery and notifications (Expo) to distribute app updates and send the alerts you enable.
• Hosting and content-delivery providers (Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare) to operate our servers and website.
• Authorities, where required by applicable law or valid legal process.
• A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

The Service uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember app preferences (such as language). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our website may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics.

7. Data Retention

We keep account information while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Note that blockchain transactions are public and permanent by nature and cannot be deleted by us.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, segregated infrastructure and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for protecting your devices and login methods.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the associated data.

10. International Users

We operate from the United States and process data there and in the locations of our service providers. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or a US state privacy law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

12. Deleting Your Account and Data

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information associated with it by emailing [email protected] from the address linked to your account, or from the app by contacting support. We will delete or anonymize your profile, your social graph, your referral records and your app-side trading history within 30 days, except where we are required to keep something by law.

Two things we cannot delete, and you should know before you ask: transactions already written to a blockchain are public and permanent, and they do not belong to us to erase. And because the Service is self-custodial, deleting your account does not move or affect your funds — your wallet remains yours and accessible with your own keys.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where changes are material we will provide additional notice in the app.
